PROGRAM #1
MEDITATION
Meditation is a practice that, in the mind, calms wandering thoughts and manifests the true nature. It is also a method that, in the body, causes the fire energy to descend and the water energy to ascend. As delusive thoughts are calmed, the water energy will ascend; as the water energy ascends, the delusive thoughts will be calmed. Consequently, one’s body and mind will be in perfect harmony, and both the spirit and energy will be refreshed.
Meditation practice offers you an opportunity to practice sitting meditation to calm and empower your mind and awaken your spirit. This practice will provide various meditation instructions in sitting, walking, and chanting meditation, etc.
PROGRAM #2
MIND STUDY
Everything is of our mind’s creation. This is the essence of the Mind Cultivating. This world and our lives are the manifestation of our minds.
Depending upon our state of mind, our lives can become happy or unhappy, successful, or less than successful.
From the mind study we can learn how to use our minds. To use the mind well, we should first know what the mind is like and how it works.
PROGRAM #3
DHARMA SERVICE
Dharma Service offers you an opportunity to practice sitting meditation to calm and understand your mind and awaken your spirit. Also, you will learn how to maintain the meditative state of mind, and how to lead a life in your daily activities, and how to apply mindfulness to enrich every day.
Also, you will learn how Won Buddhism and Meditation can enhance your life. It includes sitting, chanting meditation, and dharma talk on Won Buddhist teachings and practice.
PROGRAM #4
MOVING MEDITATION
Moving Meditation offers you an opportunity to practice to improve the integration of body and mind through mindful concentration on harmonizing your breath with the movements.
Moving Meditation enables you to maintain serenity, health, and vitality of body and mind through integration and harmony of consciousness, breathing and movement.
This will lead you to the deepest Samadhi, and ultimately free your body and mind.
PROGRAM #5
ONE DAY RETREAT
During this one day retreat, we will explore our inner power through seated, chanting, walking, and moving meditation, all which we can integrate into our daily lives and practice.
Just as we can train our muscles for physical strength and ability, we can train our minds for focus, openness and resilience. Discover your inner light and empower yourself through physical, mental, and spiritual cultivation while you enjoy a day of peace.
In this one day retreat, beginning practitioners will learn the fundamentals of meditation, including proper body posture and breathing techniques, as well as the basic methods of concentration. Experienced practitioners will develop deeper levels of concentration.
